  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 60 million units sold is genuinely so insane to see. An amazing game through and through, and it makes total sense why it’s sold so much.

People must have really liked the new battle mode !! <3

Also, it definitely sounds like, impossible just to say out loud, but imagine how crazy it’d be for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to somehow sell 100 million units. It’s already more than halfway there…

    1. I imagine a world were Nintendo re-ports Mario Kart 8 to the Switch successor. Everyone loses their shit, and it reaches the remaining 40 million to cross the 100 million mark 😂 it’ll never reach GTA5 or Minecraft, but I definitely want it to beat out Wii Sports.

      1. New system is by all accounts backwars compatible and obviously it’s never going to hit the highs of a multi platform release. Keep being salty though.

    2. a lotta its due to being only thing bundled with switch for a while, while being something people go yeah I wouldn’t mind having that

  2. And to think, MK8 started out as just a port from the Wii-U. I wonder if their plan for future console releases will include new installments in the Mario Kart series.
