Four Xbox games coming to other platforms, two GaaS and two smaller games

Microsoft and Xbox have announced that they are bringing four unnamed Xbox games to other platforms. Two of the games are Games as a Service, and presumably one of those is Sea of Thieves. The other two games will be smaller titles, which Phil Spencer said, weren’t really meant as exclusives, that is likely Hi-Fi Rush and another game. Xbox confirmed that neither Starfield or Indiana jones will be coming to other platforms.

  1. I loved Hi-Fi Rush. I’ll be buying it on Switch. I never understood what to do in Sea of Thieves so it wasn’t very fun, but may give it another chance on Switch too

  2. Indiana Jones made no sense when I heard it, but Starfield I feel like sold under expectations and was originally going to PS5 but the bad PR canceled it.

I have nothing to back this up, this is just speculation

    1. Perchance we say Hifi rush was going to be announced during the Direct then delaying the Direct makes sense. If it doesn’t then sure probably BS

      1. But if Hi Fi Rush would be announced during a direct today, why would Xbox cancel the announcement on a direct if it the platforms weren’t even mentioned during the podcast, not even the Switch. Nintendo could just cut it from the direct.

        1. So I just wrote a whole essay explaining it and the page glitches out and deleted it >:(. Anyways heres the Clif notes

Sometimes Nintendo has contractual obligations to show 3rd party games but nothing to show themselves so they have “Partner Showcases” (or those games are shown in regular directs)

Microsoft was getting a lot of Bad PR and had probably had planned to show Hifi Rush in the direct. Leaks of Xbox is “going third party now” and they scramble for a responce. They ask Nintendo to delay the direct to give them time to respond. If Hifi Rush was announced with just the leaks out there, it would look bad and feed into the “3rd party” rumors. It makes sense (assuming there is a direct in a couple of days and Hifi rush is announced)

  3. Uh, folks, it doesn’t make sense for Nintendo to postpone a live broadcast that has been prepared for weeks or even months all because of a competitor’s announcements… A bit of logic…. Nintendo must have known about these games for months… So they could have very well integrated it into the live broadcast…
There is no justification for a postponement there
