Leaker claims Banjo-Kazooie project is currently being reworked

Banjo Kazooie

Rumours were swirling last year that a new Banjo-Kazooie game was in development, however it seems as though the project is currently being reworked and re-envisioned internally. The news comes from Nate Drake who says that he spoke about it too soon and that plans have changed, for the better, he adds. It is not clear which studio at Xbox Game Studios is working on the project, however Microsoft is not short of development studios now with its various acquisitions.

  1. I one day want to own a banjo and dragon quest amibo that would be so cool my friends wouldnt believe it and they would tell everybody >:D

  2. Nate Drake if this is a lie then you are a jerk, the vision of Grunty the best character being reworked.

This time Grundy will win, defeat that bear and annoying bird as I get thin. So hurry up and get with this game. The fact we have to wait for years is rather lame.

    1. That’s not what happened. Rare actively avoided making Banjo Threeie on the Xbox because they thought there wasn’t an install base for it because Grabbed By The Ghoulies didn’t sell well. Now I’m not saying that mindset made any sense but that’s pretty much why we never got a Banjo Threeie all this time.

    2. Umm dude? Nuts and Bolts is Banjo Threeie! There was never a traditional platformer because Nuts & Bolts was that. This was confirmed in an interview by the people who used to make that game. The closest we got to Banjo Threeie was them trying to remake the first banjo game but that became Nuts & Bolts. Stop the cap bro

    1. Hell no. TfB shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a classic series anymore. They absolutely butchered Crash in IAT.

      1. Last time I checked, that one was actually the best Crash Game we’ve had in years.
But if you hate it, that’s okay, but I still believe Toys for Boy should be developing Banjo-Kazooie, especially how well they handled Crash 4: It’s About Time

  3. Honestly, I loved Nuts and Bolts. Obviously it doesn’t hold a torch to the classic games, but I had immense fun with it. The vehicle designing was very well made, I actually WANTED to progress to unlock more parts. Plus the throw backs was fun. I’d be happy if they made a true 3rd platformer, but I’d also play the shit out of a Nuts and Bolts reboot
