Moon Studios and Microsoft‘s Ori and the Blind Forest, as well as Ori and the Will of the Wisps, have been available on Xbox consoles and on PC for years now. The former game released on the Nintendo Switch in September of 2019, and the latter game officially released on Nintendo’s hybrid console in September of 2020.
That said, you may be curious to know how well the Ori games have sold. Well, Moon Studios’ CEO has confirmed on his Twitter account that there has been a combined total of 10,000,000 copies of Ori games have been sold, saying that it “probably makes it the most successful Metroidvania series ever made”. I love them and the music is stunning too, I’m yet to play through all of wisps, but I think il tackle it pretty soon
Very well deserved. The first Ori was the reason I got my XBO, and it didn’t disappoint. These are 2 of the best metroidvanias I’ve played in a long time, only really rivaled by Nintendos own Metroid.
Never played the second one but mainly to have something to look forward to; so after this is the Switch’s final year, I might need a great game to pass the time at some point …
