Nintendo director reportedly had big smile when showing shareholders footage of Metroid Prime 4

Senior Managing Executive Officer and Corporate Director at Nintendo, Shinya Takahashi, is reported to have had a huge smile on his face as he presented shareholders with the first look at the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Metroid Prime 4 was first announced in 2017 and was under development by Bandai Namco. However, this version was scrapped and the series was rebooted by Retro Studios in 2019.

  1. He was not the only one with a big smile on his face.
I’m looking forward to this so much, I think the last time I was looking forward to a game this much was waiting for res 4 to be released on the GameCube all those years ago.
I’m gona buy a switch 2 and mp4 straight away!

    1. Even if the probability is high, nothing says that it will come out on the successor in the end…
I must be the only one who was not at all impressed by what was shown, I only saw a metroid prime HD in another environment…

      1. It was literally just a teaser and to show fans that all the things they love about Metroid Prime will be there, they will show new gameplay mechanics etc in other trailers. If you weren’t impressed by the overall technical look of the game running on Switch hardware, which I’m presuming is why Takahashi-san was smiling, I don’t know what you expect

        1. The teaser already shows what the game will be and yes, it’s not impressive of course, the switch has reached its limits but I expected better from Retro Studios which is quite capable of doing great things on any hardware, there I have the impression that they have just taken the engine of metroid prime remastered knowing that it was released last year and that metroid prime 4 is in development for 5 years… This raises questions… But that said, I have full confidence in the gameplay and the game itself

          1. Other way around: They have taken the MP4 engine and used it to “remaster” (even though its more a remake) the 1st game to show off what to expect graphically in the 4th entry of the Prime series.

  2. Seeing the excitement around Metroid Prime 4 makes it clear why fans are so hyped. After a long development journey, moments like a Nintendo director proudly smiling while showing footage really show how confident the team feels. Keeping a confident smile in real life matters too, which is why checking out service details for dental bridges can help restore your smile and confidence.
