Koei Tecmo still wants to make collaboration games

Hyrue Warriors: Age of Calamity characters

A huge part of Koei Tecmo’s success in the past decade has been because of games they collaborated on with other companies. For example, they collaborated with Nintendo to release Hyrule Warriors, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. So, there has been some curiosity on whether the company plans to continue with this.

Well, we have an answer via Koei Tecmo’s latest financial results briefing. You see, an investor mentioned that collaboration games have become more infrequent recently. When asked if anything had happened, Koei Tecmo said that “our policies and resources remain the same and we will continue collaboration. There have been no particular changes in the business environment, including the acquisition of new projects”.

  1. I was thinking of Hyrule Warriors on 14th August last week, mainly because that day marked 10 years since the Wii U game was released. Time flies…

  2. Anarchy Reigns 2 Warriors with the same level of blood and gore would be crazy. Also being able to do finishers on anyone if a meter built up would be pretty cool too.
