Nintendo has confirmed this morning that the long-running Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for iOS and Android devices is closing on 28th November. The Kyoto-based company says that it is developing an offline version of the smartphone game, which will work with existing save data, and is expected to be revealed in October. The company has thanked fans for playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. You can read the full message from Nintendo down below.
Important Announcement for Everyone Playing the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp App
Thank you for playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Service for the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp smartphone app will end on November 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM UTC. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported the title since service began. We will continue to hold events
and add items until the service-end date. You should also know that we are developing a version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that users can continue to play with their existing save data. We plan to share details around October 2024, so we ask for your patience until then.
Thanks to MasterPikachu6 for sending us the news tip!

Oh shit, new horizons is probably going to sell even more now. I know a lot of girls who play that so they can experience animal crossing without owning a switch.
Nooooo :((((
Thankfully there’s at least a paid version (and it’sone-time purchase! W/ save data transfer), so the app isn’t deleted forever. I’m extremely happy there’ll be an offline version, as that’s probably the best way to handle things like this, if they’re shutting down servers
Still, it sucks to see it’s going offline :( but at least it’ll be preserved and nobody loses their save data :)
Hi Sickr, I think it would be interesting to note on the headline that an offline version will replace the online version, that way people will not think the game will close entirely right after reading the headline.
Done ✅
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually sorta happy this is happening, the game was pretty fun until it got weird with the predatory micro transactions that’s when I started hopping off, I started to really dislike it more when the app was getting way better updates than new horizons so many cool items and accessories that didn’t make it to horizons but went into pocket camp.
Oh no. Anyway…
Blah eats penises
Depending on how they do it, the offline version might just be flat out better.
We need to remember, Nintendo released these mobile games in fear their next console (Switch) would have failed. The fact that they’re ending service for there mobile games shows the confidence they have for the next Switch console.
This. Nintendo is strong enough now not to bother with “mobile” development anymore and can focus on their exclusive console games fully. This is a good thing.
Not interested since i already have New Leaf and New Horizons but i like the fact they are making an offline version for those who wish to continue playing, just like how Capcom did with Megaman Dive. I wish more developers did that…
I’m Nonya Business! I fake think Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is mid to troll/engage bait! I pretend to be a Nintendo fan but make character wars about every character in gaming because I’m jealous of Rosalina! I harass people if they don’t give me Waluigi!
