Amazon Games CEO Christoph Hartmann says he’s excited for the successor to the Nintendo Switch and that the company is planning to bring games to the platform. Amazon Games have a number of titles in the pipeline for various platforms including Throne and Liberty, Tomb Raider, Blue Protocol and more. Here’s what Hartmann told IGN:
“Yeah, we obviously plan to develop games for it and I can’t wait for it to be out. I mean, honestly, I’d rather have them wait a year and get it perfect than rush it to the market and then we all complain about what doesn’t work. Switch has been such a fantastic product, I can wait another year if I have to. And from development, I think most non-Nintendo developers are not exclusively doing titles for the Switch. They’re always part of a portfolio mix of platform mix. Just wait.”

Oh right, from the same people who made the ring of power and censored Blue Protocol. Yeah… I think I‘m fine and ignore it just like Netfix try to „modernize“ series like MotU or Black Note and Cowboy Bebop.
I know that if they fail… which I hope so dearly.. they won‘t go bankrupt, which is sadly the worst thing about this bullshit.
In the exhilarating endless slope game, players have to guide a ball down what looks to be an endless slope. The game is renowned for its brisk action, subtle 3D visuals, and increasing difficulty as players go.
Amazon Games CEO Christoph Hartmann expresses excitement for the next Nintendo Switch and emphasizes the importance of quality over speed in its release. He supports a potential delay to ensure a well-polished product and mentions that most developers create games for a range of platforms, not exclusively for the Switch. His approach shows patience and a focus on quality, aligning with broader industry standards.
I’m a long-time Nintendo fan and was thrilled by these news. Last month I beta-tested one of their titles on PC and was impressed by smooth performance. I also checked amazon prime video reviews for their streaming side—turns out their game trailers look cinema-quality on big screen. Fun fact: I organized a mini LAN with friends in my living room, projecting the action onto a wall with popcorn in hand. If they optimize controls for handheld mode, this could be a game-changer. Can’t wait to see cross-play and cloud save features!
