Tales of series producer Yusuke Tomizawa has revealed to Famitsu that the company ran into trouble when they initially tried to rerelease the beloved Tales of games in release order and that it remains a “frustrating memory” for the team. Mr. Tomizawa wouldn’t go into details regarding why it proved to be so troublesome to release the games in chronological order. However, he did say that changing their priority to releasing the games which had the highest potential for release helped move the concept forward. Looking to the future Tomizawa says that the team is currently “making milestones towards a new title” and working hard to deliver a “good announcement.”
“I think it would be more pleasing to release (the remasters) in the original order of the series, but there was a period when, due to various circumstances, trying to stick to chronological order too much made us unable to release anything, and it’s a frustrating memory for us. In the long run, I think that releasing as many titles as possible is what will make everyone happy,”
“Fans’ requests are the best indicator for which titles to remaster. Tales of Graces F’s announcement was a result of our overall assessment (of fan feedback).”

Already have “Tales of Graces F” on the PS3 but will get it on the Switch when it’s available.
I hope they remaster Tales of the Abyss next.
