You may recall that, earlier today, it was officially confirmed by Nintendo that the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, which was revealed just a couple of days ago, was sold out in Japan’s My Nintendo Store. Nintendo confirmed that they “will continue to progressively increase production” in response to the alarm clock’s popularity, as well as the implementation of a lottery type system, something that is common in Japan.
Well, it seems that Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo isn’t just selling out in Japan. It’s happening in the United States as well. In fact, the official Nintendo NY store confirmed on social media earlier today that the alarm clock is now sold out, and that they would be giving updates on when it will be back in stock. You can see their social media post about the matter down below.

I cant belive that alarm clock sold, Imagine
how many Sales Switch 2 would hold.
Too bad we will never know because Nintendo is too cowardly to show.
I guess Nintendo fanatics will throw their money at anything, and have plenty of it to go around.
It’s $100 bucks, people! For an alarm clock!
Of course… and there is Adidas, Puma, BMW, Nike… and so many other companies we pay for their names and not because of the stuff itself. Clock, shoes, shirts, smartphones… the list goes on and on.
Some Nintendo fans…are plain dumb, I’m sorry I can’t fathom the idea of an adult paying 100 dollars for a kids clock, cause let’s be honest, if you are a 30 year old man that needs a clock to do the super Mario coins to wake up you are a manchild. I guess it’s aight if you are a rich Nintendo enthusiast that needs to collect everything made by them, but yeah that’s pretty much it. It’s something that you put on a shelf if you are above the age of 15
My god but what narrow-mindedness… are there still some who think that Nintendo is only for children?!
”My god but what narrow-mindedness… are there still some who think that Nintendo is only for children?!”
…never said it… I said this product in particular is aimed towards little kids… why would i be here with a super monkey ball profile pic if i thought that nintendo in general is childish? starting to think your conclusion was the one narrow minded here?
Tentri, what a pig ignorant perspective.
My bad
This is the worst take I ever seen from you tbh, why are we gate keeping what people invest their money into, I can care less about alarmo, but I’m definitely not calling someone who brought a Nintendo theme clock a manchild, you might as well call them that for buying amiibo, and labo than if your gonna act like that so what’s the difference.
”you might as well call them that for buying amiibo, and labo than if your gonna act like that so what’s the difference.”
one is a creative videogame experience and the other is a series of cool cheap but high quality collectibles that give in game bonuses, this shit is just a clock that goes bing bing when you move and costs 100 euros.
You can say what you want, but a man who needs the mario coin sound to wake up is pretty childish.
My dude amiibos are simply toy figurines that give games slightly different skin cosmetics or bonuses it’s still a toy figurine no matter how you look at it, and labo is literally cardboard tech, not to mention the Nintendo theme Legos base on Mario and Zelda and animal crossing and the whole universal super Nintendo world, I just fine it absolutely crazy your drawing the line at a clock, weird hill to die on.
”labo is literally cardboard tech” no, it’s a videogame that uses cardboard for their controllers
”amiibos are simply toy figurines that give games slightly different skin cosmetics or bonuses” yes, but they are around 15 dollars and are figures that you put on a shelf because they look cool and are obviously meant for collecting purposes, i believe you have amiibos in your house, but i don’t believe you play with them like they are dolls and do tea parties with a peach amiibo
”Nintendo theme Legos base on Mario and Zelda and animal crossing” yeah those are indeed for kids or for avid lego/nintendo collectors, if you unironically play around with legos like a toddler while going ”pewww take that bowser!” instead of building cool shit with it, i believe you are a bit of a manchild yeah.
”universal super Nintendo world” that’s just like a cool place to visit, it’s not like a man goes there like it’s a playground to play with other adults every day, at the end of the day it’s an amusement park with lots of cool things to see
”I just find it absolutely crazy your drawing the line at a clock” it cost 100 dollars, its beyond useless if you have a phone, and i think it’s a bit childish for an adult to use that thing to wake up when he cause just use a more effective product. you put your phone close to your bed and you put this on youtube https://youtu.be/0BZWJHUDRqI
and then the next day you wake up with a normal alarm to wake up instead of needing a stupid sensor to monitor you when you need a mario coin to get up.
that’s it. i think the product is useless unless you are a kid that like to have fun with stupid stuff or an avid nintendo collector, This clock just reminds me of the gaming brush.
I have kids, I have money, and I bought them these for Christmas because they’re awesome. It’s $100 but it’s worth it, partially because I have the money to spend and I couldn’t think of a better way to make them smile while getting them something they can actually use.
The reason these are selling is because they’re awesome.
I agree with all the above comments, I’ve seen people in their 50’s buying this, and they seem half as miserable as you do Tentri.
I agree with all the above comments, I’ve seen people in their 50’s buying this, and they don’t seem half as miserable as you do Tentri. Edit*
this guy got out his home and saw several people in their 50’s saying ”im going to buy the nintendo alarmo”
@Tentri you only have to look at YouTube to see all the customers that brought one. Nintendo fans have been around for 40 plus years. I personally use Mario sounds to go to sleep at night, and have done for the past 10 to 15 years, it really helps sooth my stress, and is the only thing that helps me sleep, so picking one of these up wouldn’t be the worst decision ever.
trust me, those people are not getting that to use it on a daily basis, they are there at day one just for collecting them/scalping them.
Tentri is trash. So is monkey ball. Alarmo seems stupid but it looks like the alexa dot. Nintendo isn’t just for little kids, and saying(implying) makes you trash tbh
i disagree
If the price would be reasonable, I would buy it to and well Im not a child, the only difference is that I don’t make enough money to think that it’s a good investment for me or a relative. To me it looks like that there are enough rich people in New York who want to relive they childhood or want to give a childhood to there kids
Who cares who it’s for. I say anything that spies on you isn’t for anyone!
I don’t get hung up on whether someone is too old for something. That’s just a projection of shame based on an arbitrary false value, and ascribed to a chronological timeline. Weird.
Getting upset at Tentri and throwing insults because of it is just as weird.
pretty sure there is no camera inside so i don’t think they are actually spying on you, but i get that creepy staring factor, also don’t worry about me, so far we are just having a discussion, everyone has been pretty respectful besides someone who made a baseless assumption about my life, so who cares.
Tentri, how does it know my sleep patterns?
…fuuuuck. yeah you are probably right. they are probably going to keep your info on your sleep on some server or stuff like that, yeah that’s pretty awful actually
Keep it on a server? No way. That info gets sold to insurance companies and anyone else who wants to pay for it. Perhaps Nintendo is the one company that wont sell your info. Modern tech would be awesome and wonderous if it wasnt controlled by those with agendas..
A more proper way to refute Tentri would be to point out that the statement
‘ I guess it’s aight if you are a rich Nintendo enthusiast that needs to collect everything made by them, but yeah that’s pretty much it. It’s something that you put on a shelf if you are above the age of 15’,
is contradictory.
Are rich Nintendo enthusiasts over the age of 15 not manchildren in this case? Is this another arbitrary assessment? The argument is becoming absurd now.
But what counterpoints Im hearing sounds like ‘ I am not a manchild! I’m not I’m not I’m not!’
Im not taking sides I just require a more nuanced argumentative process to entertain me nowadays. Shape up.
collecting stuff is not childish, physical material has value economically, aesthetically and emotionally. i think people misunderstood my opinion on this product, i don’t think it’s a bad product , it’s a tech gadget made by nintendo, it’s going to be well designed with lot of polish internally and externally. but that’s pretty much it for me, 100 dollars for a clock it’s really REALLY pricey and the idea seems something that would please only children, could you imagine a married couple who have this in their room?
”babe please get the FUCK out of my bed, im tired of your stupid ass zelda troll noises everytime you have to get out of bed”
”BUT I THOUGHT YOU LIKED ZELDA!!!”
It’s invasive as shit, im ok with some like rupee notification sound effects on your phone, i do that too, i don’t wanna sound like a grown ass sigma male that hunts for his food or some shit like that, but i think im way too mature to have that thing waking me up.
So the sound of an alarm clock determines a persons maturity ?
Your lack of self awareness alone is a sign of emotional immaturity.
Don’t undermine your own argument stating its a 100 dollar clock when you just labelled it a tech gadget. It is a tech gadget with Nintendo branding. That alone carries a premium.
“ . It is a tech gadget with Nintendo branding. That alone carries a premium.” Who the fuck cares? It’s still overpriced as shit, the nes and snes mini costed like that and they were beyond more useful than a single clock
The clock has motion sensors and use them to function. The Classic consoles do not have motion sensors and many of the tech the clock has, so that is why Alarmo has a bigger price.
Doesn’t excuse 100 dollars for a damn clock
I have a piece of news for you: People likes things that you don’t!
Live with that, you don’t like some products then it is fine too, vote with your wallet and complain directly with the manufacturer not in a news blog.
You can always tell when someone’s below the age of 30 + financially and emotionally insecure, because these are the types of replies they leave.
