It turns out the recently announced $100 interactive alarm clock, the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, from Nintendo has proved to be a success in The Land of the Rising Sun as My Nintendo Store has suspended sales due to high demand. The company says that they will be switching to a lottery type system, which is common in Japan. Nintendo said in a message that they “will continue to progressively increase production.”
“Due to the extremely large number of orders we have received, we are currently suspending sales at My Nintendo Store. We are preparing to change the My Nintendo Store sales method to a lottery for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, so please be patient. We are very sorry that not all customers are able to purchase the product. In order to deliver the product to as many customers as possible, we will continue to progressively increase production.”

100 $ for that and it’s already out of stock?
Knowing Nintendo, they must have produced only 50 of them..
No. Japan just love little gadget and niche tech, I bet they made a lot of them.
I know they are fond of technology but this, everyone has one for less at home… The Japanese are fans but not idiots
And Nintendo is known for producing less in order to arouse desire, as we have seen with amiibos for example…
100 buck Nintendo clock out of stock selling more then xbox in Japan super spicy ramen hot. Everyone waiting for the switch two was excited for special news but now they are back to singing the blues. So many gaming fortune tellers getting the unveiling of the switch 2 dates wrong. It was August, September, now here we are in October and still nothing has come. Nintendo milking the switch as long as they can. Inching closer and closer to the most game consoles sold. Can it hold? Or will it hit a dead end? Time will tell as we eagerly wait for whats next behind Nintendos castle gate.

I wonder if alarmo is what’s left of the late Iwata’s QoL project…smh.
Just purchased 1 here in the UK. Couldn’t resist
Yeah, same here in Germany. Can’t wait to wake up to an Animal Crossing song, which will be available via download.
Could it be that the Alarmo promotional material secretly reveals the Switch 2 release date?!
It says “3/10 Mon” Which is actually not the 3th of October, but rather matches with the 10th of March 2025?
It might be an easter egg of MAR10, which is Mario Day, celebrated on March 10th. But what if they reveal the console this year or January or February of next year and release it on MAR10? Could be a possibility.
Can’t blame Nintendo when there are people even inthis comment section who “couldn’t resist”. Lmao.
For the rest it’s nothing but stupid joke.
