Tencent Games subsidiary forms new studio led by Capcom veteran Hideaki Itsuno

You may recall that, a few months ago, Hideaki Itsuno officially announced at the end of summer that he was leaving Capcom. Itsuno had been a part of the company for over 30 years. When Itsuno had confirmed the news, he also mentioned his future plans, saying that he will “start developing a new game in a new environment”.

Well, we now have a better idea of what he meant. LightSpeed Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced the formation of a studio called LightSpeed Japan Studio that will operate across 2 locations in Tokyo and Osaka. This studio will be led by Itsuno, and will be focused on developing original AAA action video games.
