The Game Awards is rapidly approaching. In fact, the show is slated to begin in just a couple of days and will celebrate its 10th anniversary. A big reason why it has managed to last so long is because of the gaming announcements and reveals that happen. Nintendo has just been one of many companies to have shared some game reveals and announcements in the show’s history, though it has varied depending on the year. Nevertheless, not much is known about just what announcements will be featured on the show, though a few people have been teasing it on occasion.
One of them happens to be gaming journalist and Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier. Schreier was on the latest episode of the Kinda Funny Games Daily podcast. There, he teased that there are at least 2 things at The Game Awards slated that will shock gamers. All that is known about them is that they are apparently going to release in 2026 or later. The Game Awards takes place on December 12th, but in the meantime, you can see the podcast that Schreier appeared in down below.
What did Nintendo announce at VGAs? All I remember is Joker in Smash and Cranky Kong in Tropical Freeze (and that was leaked beforehand).
They did a first look at Zelda Wii U (the game that would become Breath of the Wild) gameplay there – I think the video with Aonuma and Miyamoto playing the game. Did they announce Bayonetta 3 there too? That rings a bell.
They don’t tend to do anything like that anymore, they prefer to just announce things at their own Directs rather than have them compete directly for attention with games not coming to Nintendo platforms. So I wouldn’t expect anything but I guess you never know.
Sephiroth too
Well if they announce Geno or Waluigi as a surprise final DLC fighter, I’ll take back every negative thing I’ve ever said about TGA
Fortnite 3 😎
Highly doubt its anything Nintendo related.
Two things…let me guess: Kojima and Kojima.
One of those things will be the Nintendo switch has games.
and you know someone will mention Palworld on this topic.
That Jeff won’t be hosting this and making it all about him and his choices . Now that would be real surprise to me
I presume more Metroid Prime 4 gameplay and new information about the Sega Super Game/Power Surge initiative.
