Donkey Kong country returns HD is an incredible game even though Tropical Freeze is better. I just wish they stop waiting 20+ years to make a sequel. If i were a developer and seeing how well my game sold, unlike others who wait 20 years then decided to make a sequel im going on the next project right away.

From what I searched, the newest game, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze sold 2.02 million units on Wii U and 4.62 million on Switch.

Maybe they are developing a new game seeing how he is back being prominent again in the Mario movie, Super Nintendo World and the remaster. He might be getting a new game during the first or second year of the Nintendo Switch 2, probably.
