or it could be that the tech inside is what determined its price and not the tariffs you bigger clown.

        1. I’m calling OP a clown for thinking it was bc of tariffs..you clown 🤡 obviously it’s all that tech.

  1. Ah. I told myself I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $399 at the very least. Still not shocked. It looked to be a massive upgrade after all.

  2. Mmmm well this is a small disappointment for the increase for the system. I’m not that surprised. It’s almost 500$. They never spoken about the system price during it’s presentation.

    1. Because it is not Nintendo that sets the prices but the distribution… Nintendo only gives “recommended” sales prices, free to retailers to increase or decrease this price…

  3. For some context. $300 in 2017 is equivalent to $392 in 2025 with inflation. So this is in all reality $58 more than the Switch 1 price at launch. Still stings though :D

  4. The japanese pricing has two tier with the standard set (japanese language only) 50k yen and the multi-language option 70k yen lol. my guess is so dollar people won’t just import instead of paying 450.

    1. The “standard set” is not only limited to only have Japanese language, it also won’t support Nintendo account outside Japan and unable to buy games on eShop outside Japan (similar to the state of Chinese version of Switch 1) 😭

no i blame the dems for ruining everything therefore they are the ones creating inflation.
