If the new joycons were the same price, then I would be worried. I’m sure the price increase is to offset the cost.
But could you imagine the insane backlash if after 1 or 2 years the magnets were demagnetize because Nintendo opted to used to use cheap metal?
I’ma sure they could get away with it, if they somehow found out how to remagnetized them while they were charging. But magnetizing by induction could be dangerous if not done correctly. Again, if anyone could get away with it, or figure it out, it would be Nintendo. 🤷 But we won’t know until someone opens them up to see these magnets.

for a magnet to go to about 0 magnatisim takes around 200,000 to 1,000,000 years (discounting high heat scnarios), becauase they lose 1% to 5% strength per 100 years.

Ya wat the y dont show is that its not magnets alone holding it in place. Theres a release button for a reason.
the release button creates an opposing magnetic field that disrupts the magnatisim.
