Update: Apparently it was all the interrupters doing!
This is currently unverified news but the legendary Yuji Horii was at Comic Con in Naples and said to attendees that the next project is set to be the beloved Chrono Trigger. Square Enix has not stated on record what the next game is in the HD-2D series, or the remake series, so for now we will just have to wait for an official announcement or a video. Chrono Trigger launched on the Super Nintendo back in 1995.

By Remake do they mean in 2.5D or 3D because I think it was also ported to DS with extra content at one point oo
I think the studio who did Romancing Saga 2 and Trials of Mana remakes are doing it with a higher budget and a longer development time.
And another demake I will not buy because it will be changed for the “modern audience”.
1995 past tense “launched”
Chrono Trigger is about time travel though… so if one were to travel back in time, the original game launches in 1995. Future me can’t wait for past me to play it for the first time in 1995 after future me gets the Epoch!

I am not sure between HD-2D or a 3D remake like the Final Fantasy 7 remakes. But I just hope it is the best product it can be.
