Xenoblade Chronicles composer teases she’s working on a new project

Manami Kiyota, composer of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, has said on X that she’s currently working on a brand new project with talented creators from around the world. It is not clear if this is a new project with the experienced team at Monolith Soft for the Xenoblade series or if it’s something else entirely. No doubt we will hear more soon on whatever this new project is.

      1. Would you like some recommendations for original games? I could give you some names, then you wouldn’t have to be so doom and gloom about this. Trust me, there’s plenty of original stuff hitting the scene all the time!

        1. i hate hipsters emukation is a crime

The problem is that its anime. If they made a xc4 in normal art style it would be fine

          1. They tried that with XCX and complained that it wasn’t anime. Those same people complaining about XCX not being anime complained that XC1 was anime. There’s no winning.

            1. XC1 (the original Wii version) didn’t really have an anime art style though, at least no more of one than XCX had anyway.

It was XC2 that took the series art style in a hyper anime-styled direction, for better or for worse (mainly for worse imo).

  1. People really are assholes on this site. I like xenoblade 2 and every other xeno game. Doesn’t need to have realistic graphics. If you want that, go f***ing play doom or some western crap game. Don’t come bothering people like us that like the xeno series the way it is
