Japan: Nintendo Switch 2 reigns supreme and Pokemon Pokopia remains No.1

The latest physical video game software and hardware sales have come through from the team at Famitsu for the week 6th April, 2026 to 12th April, 2026. The best-selling hardware was once again the Nintendo Switch 2 which sold 52,058 units, the Switch family sold 21,134 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 8,673 units, and the Xbox Series X|S sold 685 units. The best-selling software was the addictive Pokemon Pokopia for the Nintendo Switch 2 selling an additional 23,738 copies.
