Japan loves Pokemon so when The Pokemon Company and McDonald’s announced that they would be collaborating for a special Happy Meal promotion involving Pokemon cards the public naturally went crazy. This promotion has proved so popular that McDonald’s has pulled the promotion in a number of stores as they just couldn’t keep up with the fervent demand. McDonalds has publicly apologised to customers who were hoping to get the Happy Meal Pokemon cards, but ultimately the demand was just too much for this particular promotion.
Japan: McDonald’s pulls Happy Meal Pokemon cards due to “higher-than-expected sales”

I remember the “gold” plates from Burger King back in the day. It’s like Pokemon fever has come back
For someone who seems to really hate Pokemon, you sure do talk about it a lot.
Is it abnormal to make a comment about Pokemon on a Pokemon article?
And I don’t hate Pokemon. I was a kid who grew up during the Pokemon craze with all the games and a trading card addiction.
I’m just very disappointed in most of it’s games on the Switch.
Haha I remember those! They came out around the first movie and came in a pokeball! If I remember right you could get Pikachu, Charizard, Mewtwo and Jigglypuff. Maybe more but I remember those for sure. It was SO hard to get them back in the day! I also remember the KFC beanie baby/plush pokemon promotion where you could get a dratini and a vulpix!
Should have put mega Dragonite on that box 😂
Why doesn’t McDonald’s know how popular the Pokemon TCG is and not see this happening, they could have implemented a rule of one card per individual customer or 3 cards per family so scalpers don’t buy the entire stock of cards.
definitely
“Wonderful!”
I hate the scalpers just as much as I hate clickbait and annoying poketubers such as mandjtv, PM7, ruffledrowlit, adrive, sacredalmighty and mysticumbreon.
65 days to wait for legends Z-A.
That’s actually pretty interesting — McDonald’s Japan promotions always seem to draw huge attention. It reminds me how fast food culture connects with popular brands, just like how items on the Jollibee menu often become part of local pop culture too.
This is awesome! I am also a big fan of Pokémon since my childhood. Whenever I visit to my aunt’s home which is located in Bihar near dakhil kharij office, during my summer vacation. We watched this cartoon on tv for hours
