Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka has stated in a new interview that he would love to spotlight other characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise like they previously did for the Year of Shadow. He said that each year they could choose a theme and spotlight a different character which lives in the Sonic universe. He says that characters which will feature in the movies would play an active role in this.
“Last year, we promoted The Year of Shadow, influenced by the movie, but I’d like to choose a theme each year and spotlight different characters. I think we can predict which characters will appear in the upcoming movie, so I’d like those characters to play an active role.”

Yeah it’s Ian Flynn who holds him back him and Aaron Webber also Iizuka who is like the Ed Boon equivalent for Sonic under his leadership it’s been bad, he was a great director now it’s gotten worse.
The Chaotix need their own game. This would also be the perfect opportunity to bring Mighty and Ray into the modern era
The year of Silver would be great next year.
Damn 20 years already. Honestly if they remade Sonic 06 now it might actually sell well keep the same voice cast fix the bugs. But we need a Silver game they should let Platinum Games make it and a Shadow 2. Sonic movie 4 which I have no interest in after movie 3 will probably have Silver as post credit but no hope after Amy and Metal will be taking 4’s spot even more so after 3 had so many issues especially Carrey who’s coming back. Rumors even circulate they might force Shadow back in to boost sales because 3 did mediocre not because the story calls for it. They were supposed to remake Sonic Heroes wondering where that is?

Yes. Only other character I want a game for is Silver. Platinum Games should be hired to make a Shadow 2 and then a Silver game. Jet maybe could make a interesting game. Bring Shiro Maekawa back.
