Sonic Team head says he’s not thinking about remakes or remasters just new Sonic games

Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka has revealed in a new interview that no longer thinks about what they can remake or remaster instead he’s entirely focussed on creating new adventures for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He went on to say that it’s his own personal goal to expand the Sonic universe and create new titles, rather than regurgitate what has come before.

“Over the last 30 years, it has always my goal to make new titles. Even now, I am constantly thinking about new titles while living my everyday life, so I don’t really think about remakes or remasters unless they are necessary.”

  1. I speak for everyone when I say what we really want is a Big the Cat game, Robotniks Mean Bean Machine 2, Knuckles Chaotix 2, and MAYBE a Silver game

  2. Yeah no. I would rather remakes than the crap they make now. Sonic Adventure, Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, even Sonic 2006 over this stuff also Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity. Even Sonic Battle with a CyberConnect2 remake. Also the 4Kids cast reprising the roles and no Ian Flynn say.

  3. not sure what this guy is on but i could not see the generations remake being needed more than any other sonic game folks here have said especially given little effort was put into the sonic part and i agree ian needs to go this is game sonic not archie.
