Final Fantasy director says he’s really looking forward to what’s next after third remake entry

Final Fantasy VII Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi has talked a little about what’s next for the Final Fantasy brand after they’ve finished the third game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. He says that he’s looking forward to wrapping things up and is excited to work on what’s next. He says it could be a new IP or a new entry in the Final Fantasy series. He said that the team is working the best it has ever worked at the moment as they now know each others strengths. He says he can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.

“I think once we have got out the third game in the series, and hopefully it’s a big success, we’ll definitely move on to something else, and it’d be great to see what that team that we’ve managed to build up together produces. I don’t know if it’s the right way of talking about it, but the bonds, the relationship between the team has definitely improved a lot and strengthened that team.”

“I can’t say at this point what that’s going to be, whether it’s going to be a completely new game, completely new IP, whether it’s gonna be something new within the Final Fantasy series, but I’m really looking forward to it. I think fans who’ve seen what our work has been on the Remake series, the three games, will really look forward to this exciting, new gameplay experience. What we work on after that, I’m very much looking forward to working on that myself as well.”

  1. I hope they revisit Spira and the World of FFX eventually, maybe not in a remake or sequel (albeit i would take one that uncanonizes that awful cd drama) but i think a prequel has a lot to explore

    1. They make it seem like they want to make their own thing not another remake or sequel so who knows? Then again the devs ajd execs are on different pages.

  2. Se stop being dumb and remake 11 already you dont even have to alter gameplay just update graphics and get rid of pol. Transfer accounts or redo that’s your choice.
