YouTube X account says they “hope to be offering it soon” on Nintendo Switch 2

YouTube is still not available on the Nintendo Switch 2 and understandably some users are frustrated that they can’t use the popular application on their new system. The official X account has replied to one such user and have said that “they hope to be offering it soon.” Whether this is just a standard YouTube customer service response remains to be seen. A YouTube app is available on the original Nintendo Switch, but the app apparently doesn’t work on Nintendo Switch 2.

  1. Imagine getting mad that YouTube is not on Switch 2…. It’s not like we have smart TVs, streaming sticks, computers, mobile devices, PlayStations or Xboxes to play YouTube on or anything…

    1. I like to swap seamlessly between games and apps on one device.
If I’m taking a break from playing Pokémon to have dinner, it’s nice and easy to just close the game and open YouTube or a streaming service like Crunchyroll or whatever.
I don’t think it’s crazy to ask things to be all on one device, especially since some households don’t have every game console. Some people just had a Switch and now traded it for a Switch 2.
I have other consoles, but in my bedroom I have the Switch 2 set up. I hate losing the remote when I need to switch inputs on my smart TV to watch something, and I swear to god if my rabbits or me or my spouse accidentally touches that controller and the TV switches back to the consoles input, I’m gonna melt into a puddle LMFAO.

TL;DR: Why not have it on the NS2? Seamless user experience is important.

  2. Better be soon! Sick of switching to my series s with crazy stick drift that I haven’t played since the Switch 2 came out. Hurry up YouTube!

  3. YouTube changing wants to try to be Netflix again weird mix of Spotify and Sling too as well as a TikTok hybrid. Basically what Elon Musk wanted X to be. An all AI content app.

    1. How people still use YT is beyond me only boomers use it for AI shorts. The platform has nothing fun. Rumble, Parti, Kick, they have stuff also X.

      1. You’re thinking Facebook, that’s all AI slop now.
YouTube is where I find entertaining educational content like Behind the Bastards, or I can just watch videos from the few videogame streamers that I like. I don’t care to watch raw streams from anybody, there’s so many boring parts. I prefer them after editing, goes from 3 hours to 20 munutes, then I can consume other content.

I simply don’t have time for raw unedited media when there’s so much content out there that I could watch in that saved time.

  4. No gamer wants a streaming service on their GAME console, only casuals. They’re typing on a phone or PC that can already do those things, and have a smart TV which has better functionality and resolution. Stop putting everything on everything when we don’t need it. Stand against the casuals.

    1. Ok, but why not? I take breaks from competitive Splatoon or shiny hunting in Pokémon to watch YouTube. It just makes the user experience more smooth, and it does literally nothing to hinder you. Simply don’t download the software? lmao

If you’re this sweaty about casual gamers existing, go play League and trash all your consoles. Nintendo has nearly always focused more on casual gaming compared to other companies, unless you’re into ranked competitive Animal Crossing somehow lol

It’s ok to have different play styles and wants from our consoles. It’s chill, the software is optional. Casuals won’t hurt you, they’re having fun over there playing Mario Party with their friends.

  5. Sometimes I come across short, funny or trending TikTok videos that I want to keep and share with friends later. With Tiktok Downloader Snaptik, that’s super simple — I just copy the link, paste it, and download the file in seconds. The videos keep their original quality and sound, no watermark in sight. It’s so convenient that I even started saving my favorite clips to re-edit or combine into compilations. For casual users like me, it’s an absolute lifesaver.
