Final Fantasy VII Remake Director Naoki Hamaguchi has stated in a new interview that newcomers to Square Enix tell him that Final Fantasy XIII is their favourite Final Fantasy game and this is causing him to feel slightly old. Final Fantasy XIII launched back in 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and was a big deal at the time not just because it was the first Final Fantasy game launching on an Xbox console.
“So recently, because the company has been growing and changing as new employees come in and the company just keeps going on. The younger folk who come in don’t say Final Fantasy VI anymore, they say, oh yeah, Final Fantasy XIII was my favourite. So I really do feel the passing of the ages.”
Still waiting on that damn trilogy remaster.

I’ve yet to find a Final Fantasy game that I could call a favourite and I’ve tried most of them, I just find them very dull. Dragon Quest is a far superior series in my opinion.

Makes sense, Games are constantly getting older. The Wii is like twenty years old now. People grow up with different games.
Younger gen FF games are X or XV not XIII and of course tend to prefer KH over FF.
Somewhat agree but not 13. Most younger people do not play Final Fantasy they prefered Kingdom Hearts. 15 was the first one most played. Also agree with you for other franchises seen so many boomers mock those games I loved now they are desperate to fit in so cringe or try and still slander them. Sonic 06, Shadow, Sonic Heroes, Tenkaichi series, Ultimate Ninja games, Sonic Riders, Pokemon, Brute Force, Yakuza, Persona, Dead Or Alive, GTA 4, True Crime, and others.
Not true FF is awesome love almost all of them. The ones with Yuna in it and Lightning in them are KY favorites.
FF13 is the worst out of all of them. The most nonsensical plot and unlikeable characters. World is wierd too. FF15 atleast had a much more interesting world and lore. Remaster that one.

15 is the best selling FF game. The boys were the best characters that friendship worst thing was the love interest was handled poorly. Iris and Noctis should have ended up together. Honestly Square should kiss Hajima Tabata’s ass and bring him back to remake 15 after they are done with 7 he had plans and had a better story in mind they just milked it for DLC and other projects. I want 15 on Switch 2.
4 through 9 are my favorites. I enjoy the Dragon Quest series, but the way you have to move items and assign them to characters bags gets tedious. Also, they should try different sound effects or tunes with each new game. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nostalgia with that, but at least Final Fantasy keeps it fresh with new tunes for each entry.

It’s not surprising that young employees that are coming straight out of college, which means they almost all lean left, like Final Fantasy XIII with the main character Lightning, which is the female version of Cloud Strife from the most popular Final Fantasy before the remakes Final Fantasy VII. Also, I can see why some of you like the Kingdom Hearts series, and the first one was the best of that series.
That’s offensive to Cloud. Noctis was way better. Also no most people who played 13 probably graduated years ago most zoomers like 15 out of any FF game and then KH also no BBS is the best KH.
KH2 is better than 1 and 358 and BBS are best stories in the series.
