Nintendo provides an update on Switch and Switch 2 game sales

Nintendo has provided updated sales figures for a number of its best-selling video games and there’s one clear winner and that’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which has now sold over 70 million units on the Nintendo Switch. The next best-selling game is Animal Crossing: New Horizons which has sold nearly 50K units. Check out the new and updated sales figures for a variety of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games:

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 70.59M (+1.03M)
  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 49.32M (+700K)
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 37.44M (+510K)
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 33.64M (+300K)
  5. Super Mario Odyssey – 30.27M (+430K)
  6. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – 28.08M (+470K)
  7. Pokémon Sword and Shield – 27.08M (+120K)
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 22.40M (+250K)
  9. Super Mario Party – 21.28M (+50K)
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 18.80M (+270K)
  11. Nintendo Switch Sports – 17.84M (+1.57M since March 2025)
  12. Super Mario Bros. Wonder – 17.15M (+1.12M since March 2025)
  13. Mario Kart World – 14.03M (+4.46M)
  14. Super Mario Party Jamboree – 9.41M (+770K)
  15. Pokémon Legends: Z-A – 8.41M
  16. Donkey Kong Bananza – 4.25M (+760K)
  17. Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 3.89M
  18. Super Mario Galaxy 2 – 2.42M
  19. Super Mario Galaxy – 2.28M
  20. Kirby Air Riders – 1.76M

  1. It warms my heart seeing that the latest pokemon game sold more on the original switch than the switch 2. These things happen when you release a system on hype alone and all the games suck
