CyberConnect2 has announced .hack//Z.E.R.O for 30th anniversary

CyberConnect2 is busy celebrating its 30th anniversary and has announced .hack//Z.E.R.O which it says reflects the messaging of “restarting .hack from zero,” so no prior knowledge of the series is required. This is a brand new action RPG in the .hack series and has been 10 years in the making, so it is something to look forward to. Platforms along with a release date were not announced.

The story, set roughly 10 years in the future, will once again center around the in-game MMORPG “The World,” but with a greater focus on real-world drama. While previous entries in the .hack series were limited in their depictions of the real world to emails and web browsers due to budget and publisher constraints, no such constraints will exist for .hack//Z.E.R.O..

  1. Awesome! Can we get a collection of the rest of the games and a new anime Sunrise or Bones could do it replicate the tone and style of the old ones.

  2. Out of curiosity I wonder what platforms this will be available for, I enjoyed the .Hack//GU trilogy that released in 2017 for the PS4.

  3. I still hope they make a Shonen Jump crossover game with everyone in it from Cobra and Kinnikuman to modern day also Shaman King.

    1. We need that been forever. Bandai implied a new game post Jump Force delisting but nothing for the 55th anniversary now we may have to wait for 60th in 2028 I think 😔
Hopefully the Saudi’s fund it to pay for all the licenses.
