The Pokemon Company has updated the work in progress Pokemon Champions to Version 1.0.3. This should fix some of the issues that players were experiencing with the free-to-start video game. The update contains a list of fixes that The Pokemon Company has discovered and should make playing the game that little bit more enjoyable. Read on for the full patch notes:
Latest update: Ver. 1.0.3 (Released April 22, 2026)
The following issues have been fixed:
- The explanation for Leech Seed is incorrect.
- The gender listed for certain Pokémon in the tutorial is listed incorrectly.
- The player is unable to select a move when they move the cursor over Mega Evolution while viewing move details and then press the B Button.
- The Unnerve ability doesn’t work on Pokémon with certain abilities, and they are able to eat Berries.
- The changes in speed caused by held items are not reflected in the order in which abilities activate.
- Certain other issues related to networking and visual appearance during battles.
I wish they did something so that we can get victory points faster. I want to buy all the regular clothes, current items and mega stones. I’m went past great ball rank so sadly the easy bots won’t show up for me anymore to help me get vp.
I really hope they fix or at least explain the issue regarding “Battle Names”, because from what I know a lot of people cannot turn it on! And I just want to see my fav pokemon, Chandelure, get announced as “Nightlight the Paldea Champion” again :( WE’VE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH ITS INSANE😭
