The Legend of Zelda movie now hits theaters 30th April 2027

Nintendo has announced that the release date for The Legend of Zelda live-action movie has been moved forward, now set to hit theaters a week earlier than anticipated. Filming just wrapped up last month, so post-production must be going smoothly for a premiere on 30th April 2027 instead of the previously announced date of 7th May. Co-produced by Nintendo and Sony Pictures, the film is directed by Wes Ball and stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda.

  1. One year to go! I hope we get to see a trailer soon. I don’t have high expectations, but I am still excited as a fan!

          1. But uh first i need to see something OK and it’s gonna involve both of you, Alright guys, I’m not gonna lie to you. This is gonna get kinda weird… Two pals!

  2. I really do get the feeling that this entire site is just one extremely schizophrenic person talking to themselves over and over.

  3. I remain doubtful about this… I would have preferred a Mario-style movie, but maybe Nintendo wanted to make Zelda darker, we’ll see.

    1. I’m optimistic, I think this director uses cgi relatively well. Where there are actual stunt people doing things and then enhanced with cgi after effects. Story has to be good though, not just a rollercoaster filled with references.
