Final Fantasy Resonance has been announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The first HD-2D style Final Fantasy game with classic turn-based combat refined with modern mechanics will launch on 22nd October 2026. Check out the gameplay reveal trailer below.

Was NOT expecting this. So excited for this!
Iam so interested in this, but very bored of HD2d which made their games all looks the same, with no camera movement.
It looks like a cross between Final Fantasy and Octopath Traveler, which is not a complaint: I can definitely see myself picking this one up🎮
This looks fantastic! I love the art style! But, a new Final Fantasy game is always welcome. It is like getting a new Pokemon game for me.
