You may remember that an investor asked the team at Square Enix whether it would be possible to bring a remake of Final Fantasy XV to the Nintendo Switch. Well, it turns out that was a mistranslation online and the investor asked about the original game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Square Enix informed the investor that while it’s “not entirely impossible” they will pass along the message to the development team. Here’s what was said via the English question and answer session:
Does the “FINAL FANTASY VII” remake released on the Nintendo Switch 2 imply that it is technically feasible to port other past entries from the “FINAL FANTASY” series? I would like to see a Switch 2 version of “FINAL FANTASY XV.” Are you considering that?
First, while there are certain hardware constraints when it comes to faithfully replicating the exact experience of “FINAL FANTASY XV,” we can say that it is not entirely impossible. As to whether we will actually deploy it on the Nintendo Switch 2, we will pass along your input to the development team as a valuable perspective on marketing and future platform options.
Finally port this, Sleeping Dogs, and Type-0 HD to Switch 2

They already ported final fantasy 7 remake, they could easily port 15, I mean they are from the same console.
15 is not bad it’s one of the best selling and better than 13, 14, and 16. 13 was trash. Watch 15 port or remake would outsell 7 rebirth.

15 is one of the worst in the entire franchise and has played a major part of the degradation of the Final Fantasy brand as a whole. Sales mean nothing in terms of quality.

I honestly think the worst final fantasy is the first one. I actually beat that on Apple Arcade and it hasn’t aged that well.
But I have a question to any fans here, what trilogy on console is better, SNES trilogy (4-6), or PlayStation one trilogy (7-9). I would pick the snes trilogy, anyone else agree?

FFXV is extremely flawed. It only got slightly better with the Royal Edition, and still had the rest of the DLC cancelled. The open world was unnecessary and empty, the story was very sparse and badly told until, more or less, Chapter 9. It ended up with Tabata leaving Square and the engine switch from Luminous to Unreal because the latter is way easier to work with.
If it was XVI, I would understand, since it’s the current mainline one. But XV? Let it rest already.
They managing to port the whole ff7 remake trilogy to switch 2 so no reason they can’t with this. I won’t buy it because I got bored of the 4 boy band style game after 30 minutes, same reason I got bored of ffx-2 with it’s all girl crap.
