Deadline has followed up the news of Uli Latukefu playing Ganondorf in the Zelda Movie with news that Sam Neill, Yvonne Strahovski and Dichen Lachman will also feature in the movie. Dichen Lachman will play Princess Zelda’s bodyguard while Yvonne Strahovski will play a queen character and Sam Neil’s role remains unknown. It will be interesting to see if more news leaks from The Legend of Zelda Movie ahead of its release next year.

Been a big fan of Dichen Lachman since she was in Dollhouse back in 2009. So happy to see her appearing in so many things the past few years!

Woah. Yes I like that it isn’t just a list of the 20 most recognizable people. But you do need one big name and Sam Neill in his possibly last role? Fingers crossed, they could actually pull this off and be something special.
Sam has to be playing either the King of Hyrule or an important sage. Or he could be playing Link’s uncle, grandfather, or even his, cue drum roll…… dad. Imagine if it’s through a movie we finally see one of Link’s parents actually alive for a change.
I thought Sam died?
The scenes in movies are very rarely filmed in order of when they take place in the film. Sam most likely already filmed all of his scenes before he died. It’s why that White Dragon movie with Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver of Power Rangers for any that might read this & didn’t know his real name) is still able to come out years after he died.
No way? Sam Neill actually in this? Man, just watched the JP movies in his honour. This is such a cool way to say goodbye!
