CentroLeaks is reporting that the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Pokemon Winds and Waves will be directed by Hiroyuki Tani and Katsuhiko Ichiraku. This is notable as previous Pokemon generations have been directed by Shigeru Ohmori. Hiroyuki Tani was the director of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield DLC and Katsuhiko Ichiraku was the director of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet DLC.

Well seeing has how every mainline game has had dlc I never thought these wouldn’t I was more concerned with the actually quality of the main game than what I thought to be an obvious fact.

To be fair, I remember when the gaming public was groaning when Resident Evil Revelations director was put in charge of Resident Evil 7.

Why would I know about Pokemon DLC? Pokemon already has locked content in base game. Anything beyond that is kind of moot imo
IMO this is a good thing. The series has been directed by the same person for way too long and could be why the games have been getting stale for many longtime fans.
I enjoyed the DLC for both Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet. They both built off the base game in fun ways that made the games stronger.
Looking forward to seeing what they do when they have more creative control from the get-go.
For the love of god, please stop making human waifu characters completely version exclusive. I was glad Iris and Mallow appeared on both games. Arven’s parents had death’s most likely like a gta pedestrian and a victim of Ocelot’s torture device but I was okay with that narrative because having both parents die felt equal. To this day I still hate how Bea, Melony and Klara don’t even get picture cameos in the game they didn’t appear on. I liked how they handled magma and aqua though even though Courtney is never battled on emerald. And let us choose our rivals gender freely. I like Taunie while hating Urbain.
I heard the DLCs were the better parts of these games. Perhaps that means the base game will be a banger.

So, this was a complete fake that this guy spread. In reality, it was a document from 8 years ago, which EXPRESSLY stated that prices would not increase, and they considered this as one of the possible ways to compensate for the decline in sales, but ultimately rejected this idea.
