Game Developers Conference global brand director Simon Carless has hinted that there’s a distinct possibility that Nintendo president Satoru Iwata may choose his keynote speech on Wednesday as the perfect time to make a special Nintendo related announcement.
“This year we have keynotes from companies like Nintendo, who are in a position to announce things if they wish to.”
- GDC global brand director Simon Carless

Maybe Pandora’s Tower?
Maybe the Wii successor?
That’s what I’m wondering. I would think they would wait for E3 to reveal that though…..
It makes sense that way and it doesn’t. E3 would be a great place to announce it, but word of the 3ds got out before E3, and based on how it exploded at retail in Japan I would have to guess that Nintendo will try to speculate it as much and as early as possible.
E3 has been slightly disappointing the last few years…Nintendo could announce it earlier to build hype for it now that the 3DS is out and excelling.
Why would they announce the successor Wii 2 when 3DS hasn’t even come out yet? Not probable. Probably some new IP.
HOPEFULLY A RELEASE DATE FOR SKYWARD SWORD ALREADY
or a localization for The Last Story
Nintendo has got as all like putty in their hands. Nintendo could well strike now while the iron is hot and announce a Wii 2. Either that it’ll just be the Skyward sword release date.
