  1. Kirby’s Adventure Wii is a far better name than “Kirby Returns to Dreadmland”. I feel like they’re naming recent Kirby games really badly. This name feels like a rip off of Donkey Kong Country Returns, only it doesn’t make sense as doesn’t Kirby LIVE in Dreamland?

Also Epic Yarn I feel did not need to have “Epic” in the name at all. It’s like they just sat down and said “Hmm what’s a popular word used today? I know, Epic! :D” I’m tired of everyone saying how everything is Epic, the word has lost it’s meaning now.

Mass Attack is an alright name, but it’s similar to Mouse Attack, which is another Kirby game on the DS. More originality Nintendo, please!

    Rant over. :)

    1. I agree, the names of Kirby games have gone down, but they’re not terrible. “Epic Yarn” I thought was a great title, but the game itself king of sucked.
“Mass Attack” does sound a lot like “Mouse Attack”, but I don’t care about that much.
And to be honest, I don’t like the name Kirby’s Adventure Wii or Kirby Returns to Dreamland. I personally would like the name to be something like Kirb-ii.

    2. Just gotta say, I agree with you about the usage of “epic”. I thought I was the only one who was annoyed that anything remotely good is EPIC MAN!

    3. You know it wasn’t called Epic Yarn for the same reason Epic Mickey was… It’s a joke off it being a grand story, i.e. an Epic Yarn

    4. A rip off of dkcr? I wish there were more games like dkc….I’d like to see capcom make a mega man or a ghouls and ghosts game like that or konami make a new contra like that or a new side scrolling castlevania I’m a huge fan of side scrollers and apparently looking at the sales of nsmb and dkcr there’s alot of others who are to.

    5. “Yarn” is another word for “Tale”, as in a story. So in context, it’s really saying “Kirby’s Epic Story”. Just the played out a pun with the art being all “crafty”. I thought it was genius!

    6. epic. adjective:
noting or pertaining to a long poetic composition, usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style.
      alternatively
      heroic; majestic; impressively great

Textbook definitions. “Epic” isn’t just some memetic buzzword for something exciting.

    7. Well since the last game was not in dream land it makes sense. The last game was in yarn world or something like that i haven’t played it in a while.

  2. Well this sure is looking like an epic winter for the Big N. :D 2 Kirbys, 2 Zeldas (since many will get OoT3D with their 3DS for christmas), 2 Marios, 3DS being $169.99, Pokemon Rumble Blast, etc. Good work Nintendo. All we need is word on Xenoblade Chronicles and then you’ll have, imo, won back the ‘hardcore’ market!

  3. Yeah this holiday is looking to be both awesome and expensive with so many stellar titles for the 3DS and Wii!

And then there are all the PC games I want to get as well! My god, I may actually have to choose the games I’m going to get! Bah! Dam you relatives I must buy presents for!

  4. I don’t get the hate for the title. I think it just shows that the developers think of this as going back to the original Kirby series. Sounds fitting to me.

The european name sounds incredibly bland to me. I don’t like names that just use the system’s name. Yes, that includes Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64 as well. Bland names.
