It is Kirby’s 20th anniversary and to celebrate, Nintendo added a total of six Kirby games to one disc and named it Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition. You can learn about Kirby’s history within the upcoming game. The collection will be released in North America on September 16th for Wii.

Nintendo needs to focus more on making great games not competing with sony/microsoft on having the newest hardware/features when they release a new console then they release shit games the first couple months the new console is out. They need to have a vast lineup of games when they release a system not just 1 or 2 good games out of 10 shit games. Its frustrating. Now there already making a 3DS XL. we just celebrated the 1 year anniversary of the 3DS to long ago. wtf? they couldve focued that time by making better games we could play now instead of waiting all summer for a few good games and playing shitty demos from the eshop *head explodes* fuckkk nintendo

Dude, that’s like, exactly what they do… They don’t even care about what sony or microsoft do, they have their ¨”own” market. The 3DS XL is not a revision, is just a bigger 3DS, you don’t need to buy it if you have a 3DS already. Anyways, how is Kirby anniversary related with all of this?
Why re-release your console when its still new when you dont have more than a handful of soild games. Kirby is Nintendo related and I felt like ranting after Nintendo Direct.. Sue me! Nintendo may be focused on a certain audience but dude, they need to think before they rush 2 new consoles to store (i know the 3D XL is the same as the 3ds but just bigger) still its like wasting time when people with 3ds’ are anxiously waiting for games as good as mario kart 7 or something to that standard of game. With the price drops on the 3ds this year here and there and promotional deals alot of people since christmas have just recently got there hands on a 3ds. So why release a bigger version?? Not very good marketing to me, plus its only like 30-40 dollars more than the orginal console, which is bullshit it makes everyone who bought a 3ds feel cheated or fuckin used. Nintendo are only after there own self-intrests and it makes me fucking gag. Nintendo has lost there touch and I cant stop ranting about it Ive been ranting since nintendo direct ended im fuckin pissed. To top it all off we have to wait til august for NSMB2 and prob December for Luigis Mansion which are the only 2 awesome looking game coming out this year for 3ds (kingdom hearts is stupid) and animal crossing when ever it comes out here in the U.S. which I dont give a fuck about cause that game is creepy and for babies, So we feel fucked for buying a 3ds and were fucked on games til august, how are we suppost to feel. I hate xbox but it seems like playstation is calling me home. Nintendo has had its day, ill always love the classics but this modern day nintendo marketing is sloppy and down right dispicable!

Now that looks like a good title to have in your collection. You get six games, digital history information (which last longer than if it would’ve been on paper) and presumably DLC for your Kirby’s Return to Dreamland game. Out of these six titles, I have only two of them, so depending on the price, I might actually buy this. And I’m also guessing that we’ll get multiple control options seeing as how there are SNES and N64 games in the collection.

I actually find this quite cheap. Don’t Get me wrong but I enjoy the Kirby games as much as the next guy but Nintendo could include more than 6 games. A single layered Wii disc holds 4.7GB with about 3.9GB is useable for game space.
Nintendo could put all the Kirby games (expect the DS iterations) on a dual-layered disc (8.5GB) and make this 20th Anniversary seem special.

I find this to be a cheap cash-in. Nintendo has all the resources in their disposal and the best they can come up with is a 6 game collection.
The Single-Layered Wii disc can hold 4.7GB (3.9GB of game space) and the Dual-Layered Wii disc can hold 8.5GB (7.5GB of game space).
With that much space they could have included all the home console Kirby games as well as the extra featurs shown in the video.
I am a big fan of Kirby but I believe they could have done better. Look at what happened to the 25th anniversary of Mario. They obviously haven’t learned anything from that collection release.

Super Metroid redone Other M style? GENIUS! Genius I say! A Metroid collection with every game updated would be one HELL of an offering. I wouldn’t leave the house for weeks. Emo story line aside, Other M was one of my favorite new games in years. Say what you will, but I’ve been wanting a metroid game like that since Prime 1 was announced. I couldn’t care less if they made another FPS Metroid. I want ’em all Other M style from this point forward. Worst games of the year my ass, get bent G4.

They really couldn’t have made a better collection than this? All of these games are available on Virtual Console. Super Star has a better version of the original game already put in it.

Anyway, this collection looks awesome! I’ve never played the Dreamland trilogy so I’m really curious. If only Air Ride was also on this.
