Monster Hunter 4 Contains Multiple Villages

Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter 4 for the Nintendo 3DS will feature multiple villages for you to visit and explore. Instead of having a single village which acts as a base, the game features a caravan that not only turns into a camp, but it also allows you to travel to other settlements scattered throughout the game. Each one of these villages has its own chief, and apparently its own culture. Each village will also have their own unique facilities that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Monster Hunter 4 will be released in Japan next Spring.

  1. Well… they’ll lock off half of them as DLC and sell each one a buck a piece (insert troll face . :P) It seems as if one of the few things that Capcom has changed that Core Monster Hunter fans really wanted.

    1. So you didn’t play 1 or 2 on psp? Only 3 on wii? Because people didn’t complain about the multiplayer in either 1 or 2. In fact I quite enjoyed getting together and playing with friends in the same room. But then again I didn’t need other people to be able to kill things. “Online” is completely unecessary, MH is a community game always has always will be. Not that we will ever see it outside of Japan and Korea ever again.

  2. I wonder if they’ll actually persuade people like me to buy this in the West. IF it comes here…

      1. Capcom has not localized THREE GAMES IN A ROW! Did anyone remember Sven saying how Monster Hunter fans have some thing to look forward to (right after the release of Portable 3rd at the beginning of 2011?) THAT WAS A BLATANT LIE! I really want to find some good in Capcom currently, BUT THERE ISN’T ANY!

          1. I can live with missing 4 to get 4G. But if we miss out on 4G I’ll just give up on the series, I’ve had enough of coming second to Japan.

      1. Yeah, that would suck. Like they did especially with SF X Tekken recently. $20 extra for new DLC now? Rip off.

But I don’t think they would do that really with the 3DS. I HOPE not at least.

          1. I forgot the specifics, I think it’s 12 characters, but the thing is, the DLC comes free with the PS Vita version (which also happens to already be cheaper than the 360 and PS3 versions), but if you already paid for the game on the other systems, you have to spend another $20 to get it for them. :/

  3. I like how people are saying “please localize” here instead of emailing capcom about it… interesting

    1. People are constantly tweeting, emailing, sending messages on facebook… to Capcom and all they get are empty promises.

People writing it here is them just hoping Capcom will do it. Non of them truly thinks Capcom will see those comments.

  4. SAMETENDO LIES JUST LIKE THEIR FANS

@anon really? I thought sickr just kept posting the sane number chart that just minimal increase. Besides the 3ds outsold because iwata was a chicken shit that overpriced his crap & when he had fair competition he rushed & lowered the price like a chicken

  5. This thing was better on Sony consoles.

Every game has to have a stupid babyish gimmick when it gets released on Nintendo consoles… and it always wrecks them.

    1. The 3DS is dominating Japan and Monster Hunter does better there than in the west.

And I assume the “gimmick” you’re talking about are the Wii’s motion controls. Which consist of twisting the remote left, right, and turning it up. No swinging required. I’m above HR 250 on Tri and have no problem with the controls. I would say I’m above average based on experiences with others. So what other “gimmicks” are there? And what “gimmick” is there for the 3DS that you can’t turn off?

        1. I don’t mean to be rude, but how can you judge a game before playing it? And the circle pad pro was never said to be needed. Capcom is coping without it pretty well.
