UK Pokémon fans will be pleased to get their hands on the long-awaited legendary poké Meloetta after it hit US store GameStop earlier this month. Nintendo Magazine announced the 648th Pokemon will be available from now until April 19 via a special event held in participating GAME stores only. Fans can take either their Pokémon Black/White or Black/White 2 game card along with a 3DS or DS into the store where they will receive the green-haired beauty via Mystery Gift.
The mythical normal Pokémon has a rare ability enabling it to change forme using its melodic move ‘Relic Song’. With its two unique formes – Aria (Normal/Psychic) and Pirouette (Normal/Fighting) – Meloetta is the first Pokémon, so far, to change its forme while in battle. But if that’s not enough, from March 28 you can pick up the Meloetta Musical for the theatre in Nimbassa City and a new Meloetta-themed C-Gear skin for Black and White 2.

I didn’t get her at GameStop cos my local one didn’t have it. They ALWAYS have the event Pokémon, but for some reason this time didn’t. Ah well, good thing I have an AceKard. I’ll just boot up a rom of one of the games (I do own them all, so chill out) and hack a few in to give to me and my boyfriend. Lame GameStop is lame!

I’m looking forward to Pokemon X and Y when Pokemon can be released as DLC where it will be a total surprise. The way things are at the moment, we already know all the Pokemon pretty much when the game comes out.
I do hope that, when Pokemon do get released as DLC, it’s not simply paying for a new Pokemon. I’d like to be able to download a small side story or something which culminates in being able to catch the new Pokemon.
