New Zelda Wind Waker HD Video Shows GameCube And HD Versions Side By Side

If you’ve been wondering how the new HD remake of Wind Waker on Wii U will stack up against the old Gamecube version, a new video out of Japan will quell any doubts about the HD version’s superiority. The clarity and detail are unmatched in the HD version, as some shots are shown side by side with the Gamecube version, while others are shown in quick succession. The scenes from the HD version are full of life and feel like they jump right out of the screen.

The highly coveted Wind Waker HD will be released as a bundle with the Deluxe Wii U later this month. One new feature of the game will be a Hero Mode in which the player takes increased damage from enemy attacks, while replenishment hearts are in short supply. The game will be available worldwide October 4th.

      1. I almost didn’t order the WWse with Ganon.Since I had been playing this last year. But after seeing this I am glad I did.As it seem’s to be sold out already.

  1. I just wonder if it will FEEL different when playing. I mean, will the changes in graphics be noticeable while playing? I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

  2. Would be nice to hear more about TlozAlbw, since its new installment. Anyway looks good but i cant get myself that excited about it since i have played it on GC many many many many times.

    1. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

      Too much bloom.

    2. OMG it uses up more pixels and it’s SHINIER. Big fuckin deal, man.

This is a game that should have been released on the side, not trumpeted into a major release. Or are they insinuating that their main games can never surpass the level of Wind Waker and are forced to resort to superficial means like boosting pixels or adding brighter lighting or a really infantile difficulty mode that only increases how much damage you take to make it look like they’re still ahead of the game? The efforts they’ve put into this are so cynical; that’s why they should have just made it a side release. I don’t really care much for some of their other controversial decisions like storage space or 2DS, it’s their incredible lack of effort into their work that’s what really makes me mad. The only reason a well-done product is ever hated is the haters, who, because the product was well-made, have little legitimate reason to hate it. But if the product wasn’t worked to its fullest, then the haters have every right to say how terrible it is and no one can fault them for that, because even if there were no haters, the half-assed product by itself would be pretty bad. Whatever happened to “Work hard, but in the end, it’s in heaven’s hands,” emphasis on the “work hard?”

      1. MunnyDay,This it just something to tide us over until they can finish a new Zelda game for Wii U.Not a substitution. And anyone who waited to buy a Wii U get’s it for free.
