Respected retail leaker billbil-kun is reporting that the long rumoured Diablo IV Nintendo Switch 2 version will launch on Nintendo’s latest platform in September. There will be a physical version of Diablo IV, but sadly it will be a code in the box rather than a traditional cartridge or Game-Key Card. Pricing for Diablo IV on Nintendo Switch 2 will be €69.99 / $69.99 / £62.99. billbil-kun says it is unknown at this stage whether or not the Lord of Hatred DLC will be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 edition. The game’s release date will apparently be on 15th September or 18 September, 2026.
Billbil-kun: Diablo IV arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 September and will be code in box

So, no thank you
I wish this was at least on a cartridge. My problem with download codes is that you can’t give them to friends, sell them, return them, or choke on them. I will give credit to game key cards, as annoying as they are, I like that you can sell, give, return, and choke on the game.
I recently sold my copy of Puyo puyo tetris 2s because I barely played that version, and I got a good 25$ from that. If it was a download code, I couldn’t have downloaded it.
Until it’s no longer available in the eShop or the eShop shuts down completely when a new console comes out; then it’s no good.
Not true. Download servers stay online FAR long than digital shops do. You can still download digital Wii games even
It’s a risk, yes, but I don’t think Nintendo will do it for the simple reason that they’ll probably do like Sony but later…
It’s also taking the risk of losing thousands of games, it’s not at all like with the Wii or the 3DS where digital was minor, now it’s the opposite.
Garbage
