Japanese children variety show Pokemon GetTV will be showing off the first footage of Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire this Sunday on the Nintendo 3DS. Pokemon GetTV starts at 7.30AM JST which is 11.30pm in the United Kingdom. I’m sure someone will upload the footage on Youtube, so I’ll be sure to post it.

I love PC gaming and I am a PC Gamer… but I have to agree with you 100% Greenlight is broken.
It really is, every once in a while though, there is something actually good.
Can’t wait to see what new features and recent features will be put into this game and totally re-imagine it into the new age.
And I hope they bring back its old school Secret Bases both overworld and underground from Platinum mechnic since its the best feature RUBY/SAPPHIRE introduced and have that secret event where you go to the moon and find/capture Deoxys. :)

As someone who never played a Pokeman game, why these 2? What makes these better than going back to the original Red/Blue ones, or the Pikachu one? Or any of the other games over the years.

They did, Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green (Green was a Japanese only version until Leaf Green was released)
Before they worry about making a RBGY/FRLG remake… again, they should focus more on games without a remake first, after all this game was waited for a long time

Well, the 3rd generation games had a lot of strong features for their time. Many people loved: the Battle Frontier ( a post-game series of battle types and events, exclusive to Emerald version), the world map and difficulty, and general amount of content compared to earlier versions. There’s also a few “fan-favorite” Pokemon that deputed from the generation (for example the starter Pokemon and their evolutions were all adored. Mudkip, the water starter created a popular internet meme, and Blaziken+Skeptile (the final evoltuion of the fire and grass starters) had great moveset and designs). So people like the 3rd gen for it’s content and positive spins on the Pokemon series.
Over the last 10 years, both the 1st and 2nd generations have been remade for the Gameboy Advance and DS respectably.
How about XY and XX in keeping with the genetics theme of X and Y? It’ll probably be ten more years before get another R/B/G/Y remake and by then the games will be in full HD.
X and Y are based on the X and Y axis.
Still would like to have a remake of Emerald but I understand why they didn’t do it.

Epic remake! Ruby has always been my favorite Pokemon game so I’m glad that it’s finally getting the full remake treatment. New gamers are going to be in for a treat!

I always wanted Nintendo to remake Pokemon Yellow. Because it’s like the only Pokemon game that contains characters from the anime. The good ol’ days of the anime. Before they started bringing in other boring characters like May, Max and Dawn etc. But since this is MY wish, I know it’ll never happen.
You do realize that the Anime is based off of the the video games, and not the other way around, Red/Blue came first, then the Anime, then Yellow. Yellow is trash, it’s a video game based off of an Anime that was based off of a video game. Huge fan of Pokemon, but not Yellow Version.
Why a remake of Emerald ? They may very well put features from Emerald into these games just to satisfy the fan base. Plus.. Considering they are remakes, it would be incredibly easy to add them in..
I can’t wait for these games. The original versions were beautiful, and I’m so pumped to see how much more gorgeous the overworld and music is. <3
