EA will permanently close online services for select Wii and DS games by the end of June, the publisher has announced. The news follows GameSpy’s closure at the end of this month after providing a number of older games with online multiplayer and matchmaking services. EA has issued an updated list of all games affected which use the GameSpy platform, and below you’ll find a list of all the Wii and DS online game services shutting down. Earlier this year, Nintendo said it would discontinue all online services for Wii and DS games on May 20.

I used to love Spore, it was wacky, silly and fun, I donno why EA decided to abandon it, DarkSpore was terrible, I could never even get the damn thing to install because it needed a very specific core processor
Did you see the original idea for Spore? It was way more darker than the stupid kiddifed version that EA forced the Maxis team to do. Still a fun game but I’d rather see the original gritter version back

Spore was a little more “scientifically and realistic” before…
Not really, the underwater stage is missing, the graphics looks more detailed (in high res videos anyway), your creatures can wonder around in hurds instead of a small group, you can play FULL as the baby, the Civilization mode is less restrictive, there’s no limit to what your creature can look like (Unlike in the newer version which restricts you), Tribal mode is less annoying and so on.
So yeah, there is a BIG difference from this one and the newer version.
My hate for the Electrons started when they decided to pull the plug on Spore…

Yeah, it was a shame, it was so fun and had alot to do, I loved the feel of adventure, you had to be very wary of what you do, upsetting the grox could be a mistake
And yet, these idiots settle for Minecraft when spore was 10000 times better…
Spore was fun but I preferred Will Wrights older vision of the game which if they made into a sequel would be a massive hit, plus, the Wii U could actually be amazing for that type of game.
Minecraft wasn’t bad per say, but it was overated for what it was, Spore was alot more fun and less repetitive, yes it was kinda glitchy but it was infinite in play

Ea is ending like 100 on line games
Nobody plays the games that EA shut down. It’s no big deal. Plus, Nintendo WFC will have been shut down BEFORE then, so the online services wouldn’t even work.

Really disappointed with EA, they should learn more from Nintendo (<-the best company ever!)
this is the reason I don’t like online feature, they are good for a time being but after a while they have to close the their servers (for a very good reason) and what’s happen to the game? Tintafall may be a good game but in 5 years time the server going to close and you get what???? the game won’t be playable and you would have spent £60.. no worth the putting some money into it.
