GameStop Says The Little Mac Amiibo Is Now “Discontinued”

Bad news for those hoping to get their hands on a Little Mac Amiibo figure as US retail chain GameStop now says that the Amiibo has been discontinued by Nintendo and they will no longer be receiving stock. Whether this is true remains to be seen. He’s unavailable at Amazon, but if he becomes available we will be sure to let you all know.

Thanks, Joeame

      1. No, they haven’t. There’s been no official statement from Nintendo saying that those three were discontinued.

      2. Bullshit. Those are just stories retailers tell to justify their criminal prices for the remainig pieces and provoke a rush to their places.

  1. I have every Amiibo currently (all 18) and even I am scared about having my pre-orders cancelled in the future. There is just not enough of these to go around.

And Rosalina will be KILLER to find. She’s the only one I don’t have pre-ordered. I turned to the Dark Side and pre-ordered 5 Lucarios. 2 for me and 3 to sell. That will help me recoup for the hit I’m going to take finding Rosalina on eBay.

      1. The only rare amiibos I want are a Villager and a Wii Fit Trainer. I have one of each but need another one of each to open up and play with.

    1. Your a fucking faggot…you buy 5 just to sell 3 for profit…people like you are what’s wrong with this world today you greedy fuck

    2. “I preordered 3 amiibos to sell”
Jeez I wonder why you’d have trouble finding certain amiibo with that kind of thought process….

  2. It’s the only way to get all 50 SSB amiibo out before 2015 ends.
I think this is smart on Nintendo’s end, it keeps the pieces valuable.
On the flip… yeah, they need to wait AT LEAST one month before retiring any figures.
Mac hasn’t even been out one month in the US.

    1. I don’t think that’s what’s going on here. It’s a case of supply not keeping pace with demand. Continuing to produce and stock wave 1 and 2 Amiibo would probably necessitate delaying production and release of wave 3 (and subsequent waves). What they have to do is find a way to ramp up production, but doing that and maintaining the same standard of quality may be easier said than done. Ultimately, I think Nintendo will come through for it’s fans. But it could be a long damn time before we see more Little Mac Amiibo on display.

  3. I gave up on amiibo because they are just too hard to find. Even when my store restocks them, they’re always gone before I can get there. Looking for these things is just a waste of time. The last few I got were Zelda and Little Mac. I was only lucky to get them though because I just happened to be near a Target that morning when they restocked them. But I still only saw one Little Mac and Zelda. (Got the last ones) Absolutely ridiculous.

  4. Gamestop also told me be the GC adapter was “discontinued” and yet they’re still selling bundles with them. Yeaah heres where I keep saying the best option is to pre-order all the amiibos, even if you dont plan to pick all of them up immediately. At least you get a safety.

  5. Daaamn booy. That’s rough, raw and uncut! I actually kind of wanted one, now if this comes true, little mac Amiibo will be selling at waay high $$$. Props to who ever got one! As long as I get Toon Link and Game & Watch then im set. Also I want King Dedede, but thats not super important.

  6. I am calling BS; there were strikes at the LA ports just before Christmas, the holidays are now behind us, things are just getting caught back up. It just seems to me everywhere but the US got huge fullfillment; I kind of get that for Japan but Europe and Aistralia getting more than the U.S.? I doubt that, all the US stock was held up in the port strike, I bet we start seeing everything restocked here in the next couple of weeks.

  7. Eurofag here, Amiibo figures are not by any means easy to get by here either. So far the only ones I keep seeing well stocked up on in pretty much every store is Mario and Pikachu.

  8. I feel bad for people who were gonna get him, luckily I got him at Nintendo World in NYC beginning of December, they had a huge stock of him there with Zelda and Diddy Kong, I also got Pit (ordered from GameStop) and got him on New Years Eve, he is also rare. I also pre ordered Shulk, Sonic, and Sheik

  9. If they are making all SSB characters that means they will make a CHARIZARD amiibo. And what about Mewtwo?!!!!! Does he count, technically?…

  10. Okay, well I’m seeing that all of wave three, minus the exclusives, are still open for pre-order. Better get them now or else you’ll back here lamenting over what’s been discontinued. It’s a pain, but now we know…

  11. Nintendo needs to fix the supply problem and stop these early discontinuations. Whether they be true or false. The real question is, what’s taking Nintendo SO long to supply more shipments of all amiibo to stores. I was just at Hastings tonight, and they don’t have a single amiibo left. The rack is empty.

  12. All I need is a Pit amiibo. Lucina will be in one of the last waves but I will be sure to pre-order her as soon as she is announced. If anyone knows where a Pit may be please let me know. ;-;

    1. Pit is SUPER rare. I haven’t seen him not once. Even when wave two released. Been to three different stores all through the month of December and no sign of him. Sold out and unavailable on every website I check. You have like a 10 percent chance of finding him. Of course, another option would be to fork over that $30-50 and just get him from Amazon or something.

      1. True sadly I haven’t even seen wave 2 amiibos outside of Diddy Kong, although that last part is an absolute FINAL option. I really don’t want to give greedy people money, and it is just a toy at the end of the day. Cards will be released so I can get the content that way if these characters get some awesome perks. If I pay $40+ dollars for an amiibo I might as well just buy one of those really good figures made by one of those other companies like the Lucina one released not too long ago. Idk, I’ll figure something out eventually. :/

        1. Your other choice could be being persistent! You could try going back and forth constantly checking between stores. It’s a risk. You might be extremely lucky and catch one last Pit hanging around! … Or it could just be a huge waste of time and Pit will never appear.

          1. to any of you who are new to collecting, get out now while you can, I’m not even kidding things like this consume your money and your time. Just get the ones you really want and be done with it. other wise your left with 12 large boxes and six totes of over $10,000 of stuff that you can’t even enjoy because you don’t have the space for it. I know people didn’t ask for my opinion but these things are well, just things. and I hate to see people getting all upset over them. especially when there’s more important things.

            1. No one would be getting upset over these if Nintendo actually supplied enough of them. Nintendo has completely messed up the situation. They didn’t even get then back in stock for Christmas. Some of these amiibo are basically invisible. Not to mention, they literally will be after Nintendo discontues some of them. Because for some reason they don’t want to tell anyone which ones are going away. And it’s incredibly frustrating. If they didn’t have enough in stock, then they shouldn’t have brought these out in the first place. And it would’ve made more sense to wait anyways seeing as how you can’t use them in barely anything yet.

              1. I agree with you there. everyone is rushing out to buy these things when they really don’t do anything yet.
and I shouldn’t of used the word upset, disappointed would’ve been the appropriate word.

      2. I got Pit at Gamestop. But only because I pre-ordered him. I’ve never seen any on store shelves. My niece is going NUTS wanting all of these amiibos, and there’s nothing I can do. Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves.

    2. you need to go to http://www.nowinstock.net they post updates contantly just go to the amiibo section on the site and check periodically. you can even have them send email alerts to your phone when a particular item goes instock on any major retailer site. best of luck :)

      1. Thanks this definitely helps, I’ll be going on a search this afternoon when I get out of school so wish me luck! :)
