Disney Is Working On An Unannounced Wii U Game

disney_fantasy_wii_u_1

Cari Mayle, a character artist and 3D artist, has shared images of a new Disney project she is working on for the Wii U. Judging from the images it’s set to be a medieval fantasy game that is exclusive to the platform. The Wii U needs this kind of third-party support, so it’s more than welcome news. Be sure to check out all of Cari Mayle’s artwork for the game at the link here.

These medieval fantasy characters are from an upcoming game for the Wii U (shown with permission). The character designs are by me (with the exception of the dwarf and dark skull knight). Environmental art and design created by me as well. They are not shown, but have a small sample of them with the character stands.

From the way they look, I get the feeling that we’ll be viewing them from further away like the Wonderful 101 characters.

    2. I’ve been absent for some time.

Wow, I love how you people just hype anything that comes to the Wii U now. Even using artwork as a tool to do so. WOW, just great. I love this site. I always feel like I’m surrounded by dogs since that is pretty much the gap between you people and me in terms of intelligence. It truly feeds my ego to feel so much more intelligent.

      1. Fine by me 3rd parties have demonstrated that even their most anticipated releases aren’t as good as they want you to think. It could end up like Titanfall or any shooter that looks and feels awesome at first but then you realize there isn’t much to do. What about the story? It could end up like 007 Legends being a bland shooters not living up to the Bond name.

      1. It doesn’t mean no one is allowed to touch it. Disney owns the rights not that studio. But a game they really should continue making is Pirate’s of the Caribbean Amanda of the Damned

      1. How to compare quality…
Nintendo games tend to work day one without of the need for 8gb patches.
Nintendo games do not usually crash after a hour of gameplay.

Is it based on an unnanounced Disney movie? Do we have props on character designs from a movie no one knows exists yet?

I was hoping the same thing about “Avatar”. I found out about the game before I found out about the movie.

    1. hmmn could be, but if it was a movie game, usually those are usually on multiple platforms so my guess would be no, unless more artwork pops up that suggests it’s going to be on ps4 and xb1 as well

      1. I’m excited for it. I’m always excited for anything new and unique. Maybe Disney wants to make an Amiibo game, and create a set of brand new Amiibo characters to go with the game..

        1. they did, it’s called disney infinite XD JK I get what you meant but I can’t imagine that if nintendo is working on an amiibo game that disney would be involved in any way.

        2. If they do something good and put time and effort in it, unlike most of their recent games, then I would be pretty surprised. Disney usually relies on selling games by the names/pictures on the box. Their usual games are okay at best in my opinion…

        1. Thank you faggot.
Now I know what to get my 3 years old for his birthday, Devils Third and Xenoblade.
Hopefully they localize that Fatal Frame game by then, good addition for toddlers.

        1. Fuck you’re retarded…
Don’t you think that just maybe, you do not see ad’s targeted to retards like you, because you do not need the ad’s?

  3. 3rd Party support is welcome. Wonder if this is suppose to tie into something like an unannounced movie or tv show. Interesting how they just chose Wii U (they must just see it as the right audience)

I’ve seen a pattern of stores dropping the price of certain Amiibo. I’ve seen Peach and Yoshi going for 9.99 at BestBuy, Target and Walmart. I’m surprised Yoshi is in the bargain bin.

  5. Their last original video game property was the Spectrobes games with were good so there is hope for this one. I agree with anyone on the strong possibility it’s like a mobile game but maybe were wrong

      1. They officially died when they replaced all of their shows that could be targeted to multiples audience with shows that were only targeted towards teenage girls. Literally ALL Disney Channel show’s demographics now are primarily for teenage girls.

    1. Yes! Disney had some wonderful ps1 games that I remember playing as a young girl. Most of them were actually character/TV show based, but they were still very good.
