Nintendo Has Some Unannounced Wii U Games That Will Launch Before April 2016

It shouldn’t really come as a surprise to many as Nintendo has revealed that it has some unannounced Wii U titles that will launch on the platform before April 2016. Undoubtedly these games will be showcased at E3 next month in Los Angeles. Which games are you hoping to see? Existing franchises or new IPs?

These are the already announced Wii U titles that will be released in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, and there are also unannounced titles that are not listed here. Among these titles, there are games that actively utilise the Wii U GamePad, including several we showed at E3 last year that are considered part of the Wii U GamePad utilisation project led by Mr. Miyamoto.

        1. I hope that they continue the ‘You are the Mayor’ theme for the next Animal Crossing.

          1. I didn’t mind the theme itself, but it was poorly executed, in my opinion. Especially the planning of the public work projects, and placing them. But yea, as long they improve the things that didn’t work too well in New Leaf, I’d be absolutely fine with having the mayor thing again. But I wouldn’t mind getting something entirely new either. Just Animal Crossing, that’s all I want. :p

            1. I came up with a 7 page document full of Animal Crossing ideas for WiiU (back in 2013). One of my concepts are to have Villagers equipped with Smart Watches, or Swatches. The devices will act as the main feature for accessing inventory, maps, info and certain apps that replicate current features and additional fun ones.
Not only does the Swatch act like your Villagers main device but it will also implement the GamePad! It will be used in the same way as the Villagers use it! Like when you press X to go to your inventory, the Villager looks at the Swatch as you would look at the GamePad. It would also beat out the awkward pocket concept… as it was weird for Villagers to put a huge shark in their pocket or to put a bugs and furniture. But with the Swatch things are just zapped into the Swatch, almost acting like a Pokeball.

          2. Duck Hunt Dog (Donnel)

There’s already a new Animal crossing confirmed for 3ds. It’s call Animal Crossing Happy Home Maker it’s diffrent from Animal Crossing New Leaf

            1. Yeah nah. Happy home designer is a crappy excuse of a new animal crossing game, nothing special at all. Me and my sister were extremely disappointed with the announcement.. So fingers crossed they announce a brand Wii U title @ E3 ;~; >.<

  1. Using the gamepad is always good. I hope there interesting, and NOT a Mario game as the title picture shows. The only thing Mario I would like is a paper Mario game akin to TTYD, then I will be happy with Mario. Or maybe Galaxy 3. I’m hoping for some new Ip though, and maybe Zelda could come out before March? That would be nice.

  2. BANG!! BANG!! to the non believers thinking we aint prep… And too us nintendo supporters. i gotta say. All abroad the choo choo train, all abroad the choo choo train, all abroad the choo choo train, all abroad all abroad choo choo

    1. Yeah Nintendo is proving that the Wii U still has a lot of fight in it. Nintendo is get hit us hard with some announcements and games that we didn’t see coming or even with some that were rumored and expected. Damn Nintendo got me hyped for their E3……..my body is ready

      1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

        >>>Whether the Wii U has more fight in it or not is irrelevant to the will of the empire itself though>>>

        1. 1. Exactly and it’s funny how people come up with baseless assumptions of Nintendo every e3 then kiss ass after because they were surprised about the game announcements
          2. That’s why I say wait until e3 and beyond

  3. So only games that would released this year were going to be showcased at E3, and now this? -_- make up you’re mind Nintendo and stop feeding us lies.

    1. They do some things based on the feedback of the fans, maybe they were getting hate. Nintendo changing there mind is not always bad, if it’s based on fans wants its really good.

      1. I guess that’s what it is though, I wanted them to only showcase 2015 game because then I would at least know that those games would come out this year, even without a release date or window.

Now with this they can pretty much push off to 2016 most of the games that they will announce or even reveal at this E3.

  4. Man these comments are “slow going” if you got that reference your awesome and you now that spaniards are trusted with ropes.

  5. So:
Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wooly World, Mario Maker, Star Fox, Giant Robot, and SMT X FE are the 1st party games being released this year. That’s 7 games for the next 11 months (this fiscal year). Nintendo promised a 1st party game every month. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we got AT LEAST 4 new announcements. Hopefully its on par with last year’s e3.
Let’s hope they are good ones.

  6. New Mysterious Murasame Castle? Nope, I doubt it is relevant enough to warrant a revival sadly.

I’ll just say that some of them is a new Punch Out and possibly Metroid just to be on the safe side.

  7. I will be happy, as long as Nintendo doesn’t show anything already announced at e3. Things like Star Fox, Mario Maker, and SMTxFE should be shown in a separate direct, so that e3 can just be reveal, after reveal, after reveal. And during this year’s Tree House live let’s hope one game doesn’t take half the time (I’m looking at you Splatoon).

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>You are fooling yourself if they do not intend to show new footage of some games that are already announced, I don’t want to see an E3 that’s only 15 minutes>>>

      1. My problem is that they’ll spend half their time showing new games and the other half revisiting games announced and covered last e3. It’s a waste of time and tells us they don’t have a lot to show.

        1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

          >>>Everyone does that and there could be new games announced for the 3DS systems as well, possibly new DLC Packs for some games>>>

        2. If Nintendo didn’t have anything to show then why would they reveal all this stuff about Fatal Frame SMTxFE, Yoshis WW, new fire emblem, mario maker..etc in the Direct? If they didn’t have anything then they could’ve easily kept them for E3. So I’m pretty sure they have a lot of new stuff to show.

          1. There’s also investors that tyey have to please.

E3 isn’t the only thing in Nintendo’s Radar you know, at times they have to announce stuff for investors that demand things from Nintendo.

    2. sherlockwillfightbilbo

I agree all except for Star Fox. We haven’t seen ANYTHING from Star Fox except for the most basic demo. I want to see what it really looks like.

But I swear if they spend an hour showing off Mario Maker I’m going to lose my mind.

  8. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

    >>>Just like I said just a while ago, the infidelic nonsense will always believe whatever crap they hear and change their so called “opinions” based on that>>>

  9. pink0crystal0midbus

Spaltoon is a brand new IP. I want an already existing franchise to get some treatment. Star Fox is coming. How about a new Kid Icarus game, or Animal Crossing, or Metroid, OR F-Zero!?!?

  10. thenintendoreviewer

What I hope for is a proper 3D Mario and a 3D Kirby. What it’s more likely to be is a new Metroid.

  11. I don’t have a problem if supermariogalaxy3 comes out for the wiiu in 2018 I have no problem with that as I am a casually gamer I think supermariogalaxy3 will come out for the wiiu in 2018 for the wiiu like supermariogalaxy2 came out for the wii

  12. Actually I’m really hoping for a Wii U MH4 announcement as I love the series and tbh I would prefer it there than the DS. Also I’d love to see some new IP’s as well.

  13. “Unannounced titles” = “look to your amiibo that haven’t have support for their game series yet”.

Hopefully that’ll end up being a Metroid (Samus, Zero Suit Samus support), Kid Icarus (Pit, Dark Pit, Palutena support), Punch-Out!! (Little Mac support, plus Nintendo Instagram picture), F-Zero (Captain Falcon support), etc etc etc :)

  14. We’re gonna see Project Giant Robot & Project Whatever the next one was called. Two games that looked like a complete waste of fucking time when they could have been building an F-Zero or something. I hope they have something nice to announce cuz don’t get me wrong, they got a lot of good shit coming, but I don’t like to get hyped up for nonsense. Just knowing those two projects are gonna be taking up video time when they could be showing something else is already depressing.

  15. Stuff that could reveal . . .
    1) A fully fledged virtual shop. All N64 and CUBE titles.
    2) Brand new WiiU. Slimmer, please god better looking, better gamepad and a larger Hard Drive, 100gb minimum
    3) A new FZero
    4) Brand New Metroid.
    5) Smash Bros 5 characters. Ryu, Bayonetta, etc
    6) Mario Maker – couldn’t give a toss about this.
    7) Star Fox
    8) Mario Galaxy U package.
    9) A new IP

  16. PLEASE BE A Wii U ANIMAL CROSSING!!!!!!!!
And I’d love a new Mario Golf on Wii U. It’s been FAR too long since Toadstool Tour (the 3DS game don’t count). And Earthbound………*drools* Ah hell, I might as well jump off the nearest bridge.

  17. For Wii U I want to see a Metroid that can go head to head with Halo (with out all the drama of the metroid trilogy).

A paper Mario that goes back to its RPG roots but could add the new mechanics of stickers, perspective swapping, real world objects (a HD paper Mario could really boost visuals with the whole pop up book aspect)

Something surprising like a ice climbers reboot RPG skyrim style.

    A HD kid incurs.

A open world Pokemon snap, that teaches real world photography skills.

New IP (more “muture” content) spin off games would be cool too.

Really want a update in terms of platform disgn that brings Wii fit and brain age to smart phones and they introduce updated smart accessories that treat the game more like a app with free to start models and can sync with your smart watch or phone, or 3DS app. The. On your Wii U the game/app offers different content and fit board support (could easily be more popular then even amiibo if they just spent the time )

  18. The Dark Lord of the Sith

Do you know what we need? a new Donkey Kong Country. With Kremlins, this time!! Time to kick King K. Rool’s rear once more :)

  19. Would love to see another fitness game from Nintendo – maybe an emphasis on several versions of step aerobics, boxing, and walking.
