False pages offering registration for a Pokemon GO beta testing program have surfaced online. The official Pokemon site warned users not to fall for these links. The company is not planning for beta testing sign ups at this time, nor is there an announcement about how to receive the beta access.
Social media sites and Google search results have been spreading these scams. The scams will usually take you to a survey that is required to enter to gain entry into the alleged beta program. Some of them will entice you into doing so by offering nonexistent prizes. That said, if there’s a beta program announced for a game and the news isn’t coming from the developers or a legitimate news media site, be very careful.
