Brandon Sheffield doesn’t seem very pleased about Nintendo’s decision to fire Alison Rapp. Sheffield, who works at Necrosoft Games, has revealed that he and his team have stopped planning on bringing a game of theirs to Wii U as a result of the termination. Nintendo recently explained the reasoning behind Rapp’s dismissal.

What a freaking idiot. Hes going to seriously regret this when the real reason she was fired starts to spread more. The employee was working on a thesis about laxer child pornography laws and tweeted several times in support of those laws and sex offenders. When someone found out about this they got in touch with Nintendo and they fired her when it was brought to their attention. Because you know, a large section of their market is CHILDREN.
Her thesis about “child pornography laws” was about western culture shaming Japan’s media for their depictions of children,specifically, in manga and doujinshi. She was completely right that Japan has their own right to have them. Everyone cheered when Japan laughed in the face of the UN’s small part focused on Women tried some ridiculous shit about banning violence against women in video games, and guess what every single one of the points she(the head of the womens organization in Japan) made applies to depictions of children as well. This is a one way street, you dont pick and choose this shit, it’s all of it or none. As show time and time again once one of these things gets slammed they all will. Democracy doesn’t stop where your feelings start.
Let’s also ignore the fact that she wrote this while in high school and she got fired for another job, which is most likely NoA PR spin but who knows.

The outrage is baffling if you ask me. She’s been fired because she was bad at her job, not because of her academic paper, views or harassment. Yet you won’t see any media outlet publishing an article saying that maybe she wasn’t behaving that professionally when she was promoting her second job on the same account she uses for Nintendo business.
