8BitDo will be releasing a brand new wireless GameCube controller adapter for your Nintendo Switch. The adapter is priced at $19.99, and it will release on December 7th, the same day as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The adapter works with Wired GameCube & Classic Edition Controllers. According to the Verge, the adapter also has “30 hours of battery life, and it also has both a Switch home and screenshot button”. So what are the chances that this will work with the NES and SNES classic controllers to play the Switch NES games. Or hell, Smash could be fun with a SNES controller if it doesn’t require all of the buttons and sticks.

I see in the listing it says classic edition controllers as well, but my mind went to the Wii Classic controller and Classic Controller Pro. Might have to pick one of these up to try out.

I supposed it doesn’t provide vibration for GB controller? Official Nintendo adapter requires two USB ports just for vibrations, so I don’t think it’ll be working here, but maybe I’m wrong.
I don’t see why not. This is basically just a wireless converter to make the Switch think you’re using a pro controller. As long as the battery in it is strong enough I would think it should be able to send a rumble signal just fine. But who knows. May also sacrifice rumble for battery life.
