The rumor mill continues to keep on grinding in relation to news regarding Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii video games console.
Today news has surfaced that at least 26 classic titles are set to make an appearance at launch on the Wii’s Virtual Console platform. Though this information should of course be taken with a pinch of salt, the gaming publication that posted these details seems adamant of the credibility of their source.
Though it’s unlikely that anything will be confirmed regarding this matter until Nintendo’s upcoming press conferences which are set to take place on the 14th and 15th September, the list does look genuinely plausible. Additionally the source also goes on to note that there will be at least five brand new, never seen before IP’s available on the Virtual Console via launch.
Your guess on the validity of this is as good as mine…
- Bonks Adventure
- Castlevania
- Duck Hunt
- Excitebike
- F-Zero
- Kid Icarus
- The Legend Of Zelda
- The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
- Mario Kart 64
- Metroid
- Mortal Kombat
- New Adventure Island
- Ninja Gaiden
- Outrun
- Pac-Man
- Prince Of Persia
- Punch Out
- R-Type
- Rayman 2
- Sonic The Hedgehog
- Starfox
- Super Mario 64
- Super Mario Bros
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario World
- Tecmo Bowl
It may not be official, but that line-up looks very nice to me! :D
Hmm, I’m still intrigued to know whether or not this list is fake as I haven’t seen any confirmation on Virtual Console titles yet.
