Speculation has been mounting rather considerably over the past month of the possibility of an earlier than expected launch for Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii video gaming console.
These rumors as always have arisen due to numerous speculative factors, though intriguing information arose from a forum post yesterday via macrumours.com that could shoot the ever growing speculation straight down.
A poster by the name of Dexterity claims that the online beta testing for Wii Connect 24, the Virtual Console and other online features is currently scheduled by Nintendo to take place September 18th – October 23rd, he also goes on to state “don’t expect the system to release prior to that.”
If this information proves to be true, and by all accounts he appears to be a credible source according to other posters on the forum, then the November launch that many analysts have been reiterating over the past few months certainly seems the most plausible, though of course tomorrow’s press conference in New York should reveal all.
I was expecting to to be November 17th anyways. We’ll just have to wait till tomorrow and see. :?
Well you were close enough, for the American launch that is. My fingers are tightly crossed that we shall see the Wii before Christmas here in Europe…
It would be profitable to do so (you know the Christmas marekt ;) ), so I think it probably will.
